The chemical formula of high-strength brass is Zcuzn24Al6Fe4Mn3, which contains about 65% copper and 24% zinc. Aluminum can improve the strength, hardness and corrosion resistance of brass at room temperature. There are three kinds of brass: brass containing less than 35% zinc. The microstructure at room temperature is composed of single phase alpha solid solution, which is called -yellow.
High-strength brass has good plasticity and can withstand cold and hot working, but it is prone to medium-temperature brittleness during forging and other hot working. Its specific temperature range varies with the content of zinc, generally between 200 and 700 degrees Celsius. Therefore, the processing temperature should be higher than 700 C.
High-strength brass is widely used. It has been cast into bearing bushes and village bushes. At present, solid lubricated oil-free bearings (solid lubricated bearings) based on high-strength brass are mainly made in China. Oil-free lubrication is realized. Compared with the composite oil-free bearing, it has the advantages of good machinability, high precision, strong bearing capacity and good wear resistance.
